"Romito" Toscana Rosso IGT 2019, Castello Romitorio
"Powerful and layered, it displays a remarkable sensorial brilliance that recalls lavender, wild violet, mandarin juice, pomegranate and pink grapefruit. Full-bodied, very powerful and full of grace, it displays fullness, enveloping, juiciness and great class that asks for a return to the glass. Drink now or age." - 94/100, Raffaele Vecchione - WinesCritic.com

TASTING NOTES
Romito IGT Toscana Rosso 2019 is a bold and avantgarde Super Tuscan produced using 100 percent Petit Verdot sourced from a single vineyard in the Maremma Region of Tuscany.
At an altitude of 170 meters above sea level, the vineyard soil is from the Pliocene period and is a mix of red clay and gravel. By day, the temperate maritime climate is influenced by the Mediterranean Sea.
By night, it is cooled by the continental climate descending into the area from Monte Amiata. This combination of elements creates the ideal terroir for the cultivation of extraordinary Petit Verdot.
Once harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, the grapes are transported to Castello Romtorio’s cellar in Montalcino to be sorted and gently transformed into wine in cement vats.
The wine is aged in 50% new French oak Tonneaux for 14 months, and is unfiltered.
