"Biserno" 2021, Tenuta di Biserno
The symbol of the Estate, this is its iconic and most prized wine, conceived in the Bordeaux style and the product of the finest grapes from the most suitable soils. A remarkable and rare wine, it is the perfect union of finesse and complexity. A synthesis of precise elegance and recognisable persistence, ideal for occasions to remember.
Produced in equal parts from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, with a small amount of Petit Verdot.
TASTING NOTES
The colour in the glass is a deep, vibrant, intense ruby red. The nose offers surprising intensity and elegant complexity of aromas. Herbs and aromatic spices emerge from the ripe black and forest fruits, with hints of roast coffee and dry pastries followed by delicate ageing notes resulting from the time spent in barriques. With a finely integrated taste, this wine is full and enveloping, with velvety tannins and a freshness that invites you to drink it. Balanced, harmonious, fine and expressive, it is capable of constant evolution.

A Project of Passion
The project began in 2001 when brothers Lodovico and Piero Antinori, together with their nephew Niccolo’ Marzichi Lenzi (Chief Executive of the company and son of their sister Ilaria), and share-holder Umberto Mannoni, decided to bring it to life and write the story of Tenuta di Biserno and Tenuta Campo di Sasso.
The Productions Area
Tenuta di Biserno is located in the commune of Bibbona in the Alta Maremma, bordering the historic village of Bolgheri to the north.
The exceptional terroir, the unique Bolgheri Conglomerate soil, the natural conditions, the wind exposure, and the microclimate combine to allow vines of exceptional quality to grow, which in turn give us wines which are unique, authentic and distinctive.
Tenuta di Biserno
The Tenuta di Biserno estate extends to over 40 hectares and is situated at 90 metres above sea level. The soils are very stoney, they are principally alluvial, with some calcareous clay, rich in calcium carbonate. The vineyards are cultivated mainly with Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The combination of the maritime influence of the nearby Mediterranean, and the distinct aspects of different vineyards, results in the two distinct production styles of Biserno and Il Pino di Biserno.
