TASTING NOTES:
In the glass, Bricco Bonfante has a very intense purple colour, with violet reflections.
On the nose it is a show of aromas of ripe cherries and plums, with a non-invasive note of wood.
On the palate it is imposing, extremely pulpy and has an exceptional concentration of fruit.
It is very persistent, with a sweetness that gradually fades for a long and pleasant finish.

In Piedmont the word "Bricco" represents the highest part of a hill, the one best exposed to the sun.

Bricco Bonfante has belonged to the Bonfante family for 8 generations.
On this hill, one and a half hectares of south-facing vineyard were selected.
A scrupulous and thorough thinning promotes both the ripening of the grapes and the concentration of extracts.

The long aging in wood and in the bottle softens the typical angularity of Barbera and gives excellent harmony to this wine.
Bricco Bonfante is a very long-lived wine: if stored at a controlled and constant temperature (12°-14°) it can be drunk even after 20-25 years.

SERVING TEMPERATURE
16°-18°C

FOOD COMBINATIONS
We recommend this Barbera d'Asti with dishes with a strong flavor and a certain complexity, such as roasts or braised meats, game, dishes based on truffles or porcini mushrooms.
Ideal with polenta and wild boar.
